Father Tom Millane

I was born in a farm house in Clark Summit, Pennsylvania in the Spring some years ago, and moved to New York state at age 4. After going to JC public high school, I figured it was time to do something with my life. So, I entered a monastery just outside Boston, Massachusetts at age 22. I studied in the monastery for 1-1/2 years and was accepted by Bishop Daniel Gercke, Bishop of Tucson. He sent me to a primitive little college in Kentucky where I studied for 2 years, including summer school. After that period of testing, Bishop Gercke said I could go any place I wanted, so I chose St. Bonaventure University in Buffalo, allowing me to be closer to home after being away all those years. I went to St. Bonaventure for the next 4-1/2 years. I was ordained on May 18, 1963 and was sent to the Diocese of Tucson. My first assignment was Associate Pastor at St. Thomas the Apostle in Phoenix for 1-1/2 years. From there I went to Holy Cross in Morenci and was there for the next severla months. In 1965, I was assigned to St. Joseph's in Tucson and stayed until 1971. The following two years, my assignment was St. Odilia's. Then one day Bishop Green called me in and said he had a special job for me. He sent me to St. Andrew's in Sierra Vista from May 1973 until January 1980, at which time I became the founding pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, and I've been here ever since. I thank everyone for all the love, assistance, support, and patience you have shown me over the years.

God love ya, Fr. Tom
