THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

The Maple Leaf Works

The Maple Leaf Works, Inc. has certainly been a long time coming! Terrance Bryan Langen, the father, started the Maple Leaf Works as a small, very custom woodworking company. Terrance (the old guy) taught himself woodworking during years of antique restoration & refinishing. He prefers projects that allow the creative use of inlay, veneers, dovetail joints & handrubbed finish. He has done projects ranging from a complete office suite done in oak with inlay & handrubbed finish to small writing sets consisting of fountain pen, mechanical pencil, letter opener, magnifying glass & stamp roll holder with matched desk set which holds "post-its," business cards, envelopes & paper.

Son Keith has been in the custom home business for a number of years in various partnerships. He has both his general contractors & plumbers licenses. Keith specializes in one of a kind homes and additions which make liberal use of"upper end" materials such as Blue Pine, Vega Poles, tile, hard wood flooring, etc.Photos of some of Keith's previous projects will be added to this site in the future.

The philosophy of the Maple Leaf works has been a constant from the start; Do it right, make an heirloom. This principle is evident in our use of extremely efficient insulating materials and the including of Vega Poles, wood and tile flooring, handmade cabinetry and upper fixtures as standard in our homes.

Current Projects:

The Camino De Oeste home is finished & the proud owners are moved in. It's a mansion! There are 3500 square feet, lots of porches and a pool.

The custom home at Maya Estates is nearing completion. We're prepapring to pour the porches, driveway and walkway and getting ready to paint.

This house has been given Tucson Electric Power's "Good Cents" rating. Fact is we beat their requirements by over 33 1/3 %! We have an R 42 in the walls when the standard is more like an R 12 and we have an R 32 in the ceiling. The windows are all top of the line dual pane, low e. The heating & cooling is a 12 seer a/c with gas pac for heating. Someone is going to love this house more and more as they live in it!

*Keith & Terry are building the new woodshop which will allow some REALLY nice woodwork! The new "Robland" wordworking equiptment has been delivered from Europe by way of Laguna Tools in L.A.. This equiptment is a dream come true as it will lift the quality of the cabinetry to an entirely new level. One of many exciting features on the Robland is the "Mortising" attachment which will enable us to make all of our cabinets with mortise & tenon joints, just like the antiques that Terry learned on over 25 years ago. The woodshop is coming along very well and should be in some sort of working condition by June 30th or so. The first order of business for the woodshop will be the oak bath and kitchen cabinets, which will give us a chance to fine-tune the new equipment.

Welcome!

We greatly enjoy working with clients to plan and build a home which expresses their dreams for their dream home. We are available for discussion of ideas regarding homes, additions or handmade cabinetry.
