Former/Active agents FBI Electronic Mailing List
You, as a Society member, are invited to join the
Former/Active agents mailing list.
It is an electronic mailing list commonly known as a
"listserv". It is hosted
using Mailman software, a popular Unix program that fully automates the
list. The list owner is Thom McGorray, a former agent and Society member.
This list has been established so Society members have a
forum to exchange information in a friendly atmosphere. Subscribers to this
list are encouraged to use the list for wide ranging discussions related to
every aspect of the Society and the FBI. You are reminded that your postings will
go to all subscribers.
All Society members who can send or receive email will be
able to subscribe to the mailing list. Members who join the list will
automatically receive copies of any mail that is sent to the list by any other
member of the list.
Currently this list is unmoderated with over 1900 members
and traffic volumes are low. Nuisance posts have not been a problem. Their is a
"Digest" version (one long email per day) available.
A second list for those interested in general politics is
also available. It is called xgenpol.
In the future, additional lists can be established if
members interests warrant.
